We strive for an academically-oriented and balanced program for our preschoolers. Teachers use a structured but flexible method of teaching. Christ-like values such as respect, honesty, self-control, patience, good manners and kindness are emphasized. Various techniques are used in the classroom to teach such as learning centers, small and large group activities, one-on-one and group discussions, art and free play.
The preschool is approved by the Tennessee Department of Education. Both the Three and Four-Year-Old programs have well equipped classrooms where age appropriate toys, learning activities and play centers are used to supplement themed units taught. We understand that children learn and retain more through hands-on activities and we offer this particular learning process.
Areas of study are weekly units, Bible characters, letter and number recognition, math and phonics. Teachers work together in order to build a strong curriculum which allows the three-year-old class to lay a foundation for the four-year-old class to build upon. The goal is to prepare each student for necessary kindergarten expectations.
