Mrs. Brashears joined the high school staff of Knoxville Christian School in 2011 as Administrative Assistant. She has over 35 years of experience as an Executive and Administrative Assistant. She graduated from Draughon’s Junior College with an Associates Degree in Accounting and Office Automation. She taught Microsoft classes for TVA University and several Microsoft Certified training centers. While most of her career experience has been in the engineering field, she has experience as a legal assistant and was the accounting clerk for the Roane County Trustee’s office. Mrs. Brashears also taught a 2-year medical/legal secretarial program for the State Technical College in Harriman.
Mrs. Brashears and husband David have been married for 35 years. They live on a farm in Roane County where they have raised horses, cattle, sheep and chickens. They have three children and four grandchildren – son David and wife Michelle live in Kingsport with their two children, daughter Heather and Ismael live in Lenoir City with their daughter who attends KCS in the Pre-K4 program, and last, but not least – daughter Sydnee attended KCS for five years and graduated in 2013. She is now attending Savannah College of Art & Design pursuing a career in Sequential Art and Dramatic Writing.
Mrs. Brashears favorite scripture is Psalm 91: 9-12 – If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
