Denise and her husband of 33 years have lived in Knoxville since 1979 and are blessed with three wonderful children. Her oldest son, Matthew, is a pediatrician and is presently completing his pediatric sports medicine fellowship training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Her daughter Laura is a local physical therapist and her youngest son, John, is a junior engineering student at Lipscomb University.
Denise became a Christian in 1978, she and her husband worship at the West End Church of Christ in West Knoxville. Chuck serves as an elder and they are both active in the education, fellowship and involvement ministry areas. Hanging out with family, scrap-booking, and helping others are Denise’s top three favorite things to do. Her favorite scripture comes from II Corinthians 1:3-6−“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God”.
