Amy Floyd – whether helping an individual uncover their value or giving new purpose to a flea market find, Amy is most fulfilled when surrounded by the images of God’s redemptive grace. In the 18 years that have followed earning her Bachelor’s in Sociology from Ouachita Baptist University, she has served in various ministry roles. She has also homeschooled her four boys, covering most grades, taught preschool, as well as junior/senior high math and science in a private school setting. Amy has opened a few businesses, published a children’s book and painted a lot of furniture. Most recently, she enjoyed being the Social Worker at a children’s home before her husband’s job brought their family to Knoxville.
Amy aims to catapult students to a passion for learning, and an appreciation for excellence, through supporting their journey to purpose. She encourages all students to discover their unique purpose and to understand how that positions them to advance the Kingdom of God in various arenas. She is excited to teach such a diverse range of subjects and grades this year including, Geometry, Biology, AP Environmental Science, 8th grade History and 7th grade Math and Writing.
