Amber Millsaps earned a Bachelors of Science in Counseling and a major in Bible and Theology at Johnson University, graduating with great honor. She also earned a Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in School Counseling at Johnson University and currently holds a Professional School Counselor license for the state of Tennessee.
Mrs. Millsaps entered the field of counseling in the educational system because she found a passion for teaching life skills and supporting her own two children. She decided to pursue a professional career as a school counselor in order to strategically apply her natural passion for aiding children in their cognitive, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual growth.
Mrs. Millsaps believes that all children have the right to opportunities that foster their growth in such areas so that they may grow up to live as autonomous, yet productive community members. She believes that such opportunities come about through the collaborative efforts of all educational stakeholders and can be uniquely represented by the members of Christ’s body. Mrs. Millsaps serves as a School Counselor at Knoxville Christian School.
